I was saying my good-byes last night at dinner at the Events Center when the tournament director came up and asked me to come back and work next year and they would pick up part of my expenses. That also went for the state track meet. I was overwhelmed and I guess hard work and competence do pay off. I also was willing to work Thursdays and Fridays, days when it's hard to get volunteers. Anyway, I felt good and left feeling appreciated.
It just doesn't get any better unless a big check accompanied it.
