The first thing I did yesterday morning was to corner my doctor and my case manager and make them sign the release papers in front of me. I go home Wednesday.
Last Thursday they took away my walker and put me on ski poles. You should have seen me cruising the halls. I wore down my handlers. Last weekend there were few people around so here was this big guy coming at them. I enjoyed it. Mostly they have me on stairs and balance.
I went home Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed the little guys.
I still have PT, OT, and I'm not sure about speech.
This morning is my next-to-last breakfast. There is a lady who sits across me by herself and harps on the servers. I'd like to sit with her but I'm not sure I have the nerve.
I'm hoping they give me a chance to rest.

  1. Glad to hear that you got the release papers signed and you're heading home! This is a winter you would probably like to forget. Spring will hopefully bring many good days your way.
