NASTIEST POLITICAL BUMPER STICKER OF THE DAY:
Spotted in the back window of a pick-up (what else?) registered in a mineral rich county in northeastern Wyoming where else?). This county has more wealth than most third-world countries. The background is in red, white, and blue with wavy stripes of the flag:
"Don't blame me. I voted for the American." It's a shame we have people in this country who either don't know or don't acknowledge that Hawaii is a state.
The Casper Ghosts won yesterday to finish 12-24 for the first half of the season. They had to have a big finish last week to do that well.

OSP,
ReplyDeleteAs a former counselor, I believe you have learned the value of knowing all the facts before taking a stand that leaves one in the corner. May I respectfully suggest that seeking the truth is much more productive than hoping something is true.
Regading full disclosure, is it not appropriate to hold all office holders to the same standard?
Keep in mind, Barack Obama hasn't just refused to release his actual birth certificate. Among the documentation not yet available for him includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.
Without exception, every previous holder of this office has complied and released their personal information.
What is there to hide that is worth spending over $1,000,000 in legal fees to keep the records from the public?
Colorado Comet
This is becoming a witch hunt. Remember the black helicopters?
ReplyDeleteI believe McCain was born in Panama but I'm not sure about that.
The rest I consider crap.
Racism takes on many forms in this country and a redneck in a pick-up truck will one day need to accept that an African-American was voted in as our President. Wack jobs like Orly Taitz being supported by Lou Dobbs and the rest of Fox news supports and encourages racism in this country. The south will not rise again, get over it...
ReplyDeleteIf being a "real American" means buying into racism like the Birther movement, then I will gladly hand in my citizenship. Every intelligent news media outlet has more than debunked this myth that screams entirely too much of the 3/5 voter mentality for me:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2009/jul/21/more-birther-announcements/. Get over it and let the man do his job.
Although, on the other hand, anytime something truly momentous and profound happens (such as a country built on the backs of black slaves electing its first African American president), there is bound to be an equal and opposite reaction. The Birther movement only confirms to me that a significant shift has occurred in our nation's consciousness--the bigger the moment, the bigger (and more ridiculous) the backlash. I also take comfort in the fact that even Anne Coulter and Mike Huckabee have disavowed the movement as baseless. - Kelsey
